Caring Career Spotlight: Amy, Clinical Team Manager

Amy’s career with Elara Caring began in 2016 as a skilled home health field nurse, providing nursing care to patients in the comfort of home. After a year in the field, she transitioned into a behavioral health clinical team manager role, where she has continued to build her career in home health care and behavioral health leadership.

Over the years, Amy has taken on opportunities that extend beyond her day-to-day role. She has helped train and support new clinical team managers across the state, participated in community sales meetings and supported the growth of new service territories, helping Elara Caring reach more patients who need behavioral health care at home.

“I’m grateful for the many opportunities Elara Caring has given me to grow as a leader and appreciate the recognition,” Amy said.

What keeps Amy motivated is the opportunity to support quality patient care while helping the nurses and clinicians on her team succeed. Her role allows her to coach others, develop strong teams and stay involved in the communities Elara Caring serves.

“My role allows me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of both patients and the clinicians I support,” she said. “I value the relationships I’ve built over the years and enjoy mentoring, developing and encouraging my team.”

For Amy, working in home health care also provides the opportunity to take ownership, think creatively and respond to the unique needs of patients and care teams. She values being able to solve problems while remaining accountable for quality care and strong results.

“One of the things I value most about homecare is the autonomy it provides,” Amy said. “I appreciate having the ability to make decisions, think creatively and find solutions that best support our patients, teams and community.”

Building relationships outside of Elara Caring is another important part of her work. By collaborating with referral partners and community organizations, Amy helps strengthen local relationships and improve access to behavioral health services for people who may benefit from care at home.

After 10 years with Elara Caring, Amy continues to find opportunities to learn, lead and contribute alongside a team she values.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside such a dedicated and supportive group of people,” she said. “The commitment, collaboration and passion of my team make each day rewarding and I am grateful to be part of an organization where I can continue to grow, contribute and make a meaningful difference.”

Amy’s career journey shows how a nursing career in home health can grow in new directions: from providing direct patient care to leading clinical teams, mentoring other healthcare professionals and helping expand behavioral health care in the communities Elara Caring serves.
