We Honor Veterans Program
As a partner of We Honor Veterans, Elara Caring is pleased to recognize the service of our nation’s veterans. Many veterans may not be aware of end-of-life services and benefits available to them, including the Medicare Hospice Benefit. This program is designed specifically for veterans with goals to:
- Promote veteran-centric educational activities
- Increase Elara’s capacity to serve veterans
- Development of strategic partnerships
- Increase access and improve quality
We Honor Veterans is a national hospice provider awareness campaign conducted by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Pinning Ceremony
A Pinning Ceremony is one way we are able to fulfill the mission of honoring and recognizing the service of the men and women who served in our military. Our hospice staff can arrange an event for friends and family to attend, or conduct a simple bedside ceremony with just the veteran. Words of honor and thanks are spoken and a commemorative pin is presented.
