Scott has years of experience as an industry leader dedicated to making healthcare high quality, personalized and consumer focused. Prior to Elara Caring, Scott led Alignment Healthcare as the nation’s fastest-growing Medicare Advantage and chronic disease management company. Scott also served as the president of health insurance at Cambia Health Solutions, guiding the four-state Regence Blue Cross & Shield into a rapid growth payer. Before his transformative work in the healthcare sector, Scott built a career driving innovation, quality and performance excellence as a managing partner at Alvarez & Marsal and a senior executive at Intel Corporation.
Scott has served on numerous boards and industry associations. He continues to advise companies who are innovating healthcare. He holds both an MBA and BS from W.P. Carey at Arizona State University.
Ananth brings over 15 years of healthcare growth, operations, and product development experience to Elara Caring. As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for day-to-day administrative and operational oversight to ensure the company meets key metrics. Prior roles Ananth has served as include President of Enterprise Operations at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, and Product Development leader at GE Healthcare.
Ananth received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and B.S. in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. He also holds 5 issued and 15+ pending U.S. Patents in the Healthcare Technology space.
Bruce has provided financial advisory services to companies and stakeholders in various industries for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Elara Caring, Bruce served as CFO at EmblemHealth where he supported a multimillion-dollar improvement in margin from portfolio shaping, outsourcing, network management, pricing strategy and administrative expense reductions. Bruce also held several financial leadership positions, including chief financial officer at Optum, vice president finance at BAE Systems, and at the parent company of United Airlines, UAL Corporation.
Bruce has a BS from University of Colorado and an MBA from Purdue University.
Laura Hamrick is an experienced Human Capital executive with more than 25 years in the profession. She has an excellent track record of building and leading transformative HR teams in Fortune 500 environments as well as most recently, as CHRO for a start-up behavioral healthcare company that grew to a national footprint. Prior to that, Laura spent over 7 years in progressive HR leadership roles with Yum! Brands where she was instrumental in developing and executing growth strategies. Laura held HR leadership roles with KFC, Pizza Hut and Yum Corporate. She also led Talent Management for Yum’s growth engine, the China division, while based in Shanghai, China. Laura joined Elara Caring in 2022.
Laura earned her BS degree in Business Administration at the University of Louisville.
Jennifer brings more than 23 years of extensive health law experience in advising healthcare providers and health plans on regulatory, compliance, corporate, transactional and managed care matters. In her current role at Elara Caring, Jennifer provides legal advice on a broad range of issues impacting the in-home health care continuum with a focus on compliance, governance and corporate matters. She previously served as deputy general counsel to CareSource, an organization that operates Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, marketplace and other government-sponsored health plans in various states. She was a partner at Foster Swift where for 15 years she exclusively practiced healthcare law and served as the firm’s healthcare practice group leader and a member of the executive committee. Jennifer was also a member on the State Bar of Michigan Health Law Council for nine years and continues to be a frequent speaker on health law topics.
Jennifer has a BA from the University of Michigan and a JD from the Syracuse University College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Michigan and Ohio. She has received recognition for her work by Best Lawyers in America and Michigan Super Lawyers.
Kyle has more than 24 years of experience in the technology industry as an innovative global IT executive. He has effectively managed information and computer systems while implementing effective procedures to improve business operations. Prior to joining Elara Caring, Kyle led TPx Communications, a managed service provider in the technology industry, as the company’s EVP, CTO and CIO. He also previously served as SVP and CIO of the advanced wound care company Acelity and held multiple leadership positions at J.P. Morgan, where he developed partnerships that led to a digital transformation of legacy platforms. Kyle currently serves on the executive board of advisors for Xtendlabs, an emerging technology platform-as-a service that provides on-demand access to computer and storage infrastructure. He has a BS in Business-Information Technology Management from Western Governors University.
Betta has more than 10 years of experience in healthcare compliance. She has a demonstrated history of building, managing, overseeing and leading complex compliance programs. Prior to joining Elara Caring, Betta served as chief compliance officer at 21st Century Oncology Inc., where she was responsible for successfully managing all implementation, annual and ongoing compliance requirements. She oversaw the enterprise-wide compliance program, provided guidance to the board of directors, and led a team of regional compliance officers, compliance auditor, and HIPAA staff to ensure thorough compliance. She also served in compliance positions as vice president at Strategic Management Services and as compliance team lead at ecfirst.
Betta has a BA in Social Policy from Northwestern University, and a MA in Public Policy from The University of Chicago. She also has a certification in Healthcare Compliance from the Compliance Certification Board (2013).
