Home Care Patient’s Physical Therapy Success

Connecticut home health patient Kevin has been working with our team since 2020. He suffered a level C3 spinal cord injury in 2019 while traveling with his family. When Kevin was first evaluated for therapy, he was unable to feed himself and was bed bound.

Amy, Elara Caring physical therapist, had been visiting Kevin under maintenance therapy to ensure he didn’t decline in his function. At a visit one day, she called Elara Occupational Therapist Holly and said she saw potential for Kevin to be able to increase his participation in bed mobility. Together they have worked with Kevin and seen great progress. Now he’s not only able to complete his bed mobility, but he is also able to stand for nearly two minutes!

Recently, at Kevin’s 2nd annual “You’ve Got a Friend” golf tournament fundraiser, he wanted to demonstrate for his friends and family the progress he has made with our Amy and his team.

Watch the video here.

We’re beyond thrilled for Kevin and so grateful to Amy, Holly and all of Kevin’s team members who helped him reach this impressive milestone.
