Care and Safety Resources

At Elara Caring, we believe our mission is a critical one – and one we do in partnership with the government, community organizations and other health services providers to deliver care to the clients entrusted to us.

While delivering against this mission, a horrible tragedy occurred and one of our behavioral health nurses was killed while on duty. While the details of what occurred are in the hands of law enforcement, we did want to share the critical steps we are taking to ensure the safety and confidence of our employees and others in the Elara Caring community.

To be clear: any caregiver who feels unsafe walking into a client’s home has the right to refuse. Any caregiver who is in a home and feels unsafe should immediately leave. We are committed to caring for others – but our employees’ safety is our highest priority.
